What to Expect on the Day
01On Arrival
You will be greeted by our friendly nursing team, shown to your own private recovery room, and have a comprehensive nursing assessment carried out including vital signs and any required blood tests.
02Pre-Operative Consultation
Your consultant surgeon will discuss your surgery in detail. The anaesthetist will explain the anaesthesia process, outline risks and benefits, and you'll have the opportunity to ask questions before completing the consent process.
Medication Guidelines
Important guidance about your medication before and during your procedure.
Please bring all of your current medication with you, including the original packaging. This helps our medical team ensure your safety throughout the procedure.
Follow all pre-operative directions provided by your consultant. These instructions are specific to your procedure and are essential for your safety.
If you are taking blood-thinning medication (anticoagulants), you must contact your GP or JACE Private Clinic on +44 (0) 28 7116 5790 before your appointment. This is critical for your safety.
General Preparations
Fasting
Follow fasting instructions carefully. Failure to do so may result in your surgery being cancelled.
Avoid Alcohol
Avoid alcohol for 24 to 48 hours before your procedure.
Stop Smoking
Quitting smoking before surgery is strongly recommended for optimal recovery.
Medication Disclosure
Inform your consultant about all medications you are currently taking.
Before You Come In
Please remove all of the following before arriving at the clinic.
Please arrange for a family member or friend to accompany you home after your procedure. You will not be able to drive yourself.
